The Alpha-Pack-Bin type APB 1620 is a mobile compaction container that can be transported with the aid of roll-off vehicles. The Bergmann compaction principle efficiently compacts cardboard and recyclable materials. The linear arrangement of the hydraulic cylinders achieves maximum compaction results. In contrast to scissor-type cylinders, the APB 1620 is equipped with the self-cleaning compaction principle. This prevents repair work on cylinders or hydraulic hoses due to neglected cleaning work. The hydraulic unit can be pulled out to the side, allowing service technicians easy access to all relevant components for the annual inspection. The press piston on the APB 1620 consists of the main piston and a unique swivel-mounted union piston.

The APB 1620 was developed with the advantage of linearly arranged cylinders. This results in higher force transmissions of approx. 15% compared to the scissor-type press system.
